Liz Lee

Dr. Elizabeth Lee has worked as a general practitioner for 17 years. She was a partner in London from 1986 to 1991 and joined Horfield Health Centre in Bristol in 1995.

From 1988 to 1995 she was a forensic medical examiner for the Metropolitan Police working with victims of rape and assault. Her areas of special interest in medicine are cancer and the care of the dying. Her book, 'A Good Death', is a guide for patients and carers facing terminal illness at home and has recently been republished by Oxford University Press under the title, 'In Your Own Time'. Until recently she was a member of the National Advisory Committee on Breast Screening and the South and West Regional Tumor Panel for cancer of the head and neck.
